Many centuries ago the oasis was the only livable place in the desert. A place where man can rest and survive nature. In the last few decades Dubai has beaten the desert and the city became a huge oasis with all the goods and comfort.

Dubai will overgrow the desert, but it always will be a part of it, even if the desert will disappear because of the city. Keeping a piece of desert on the coast creates a memento to the birth of Dubai.
Paste the piece to site on the top of an elevated glass cube, which inside is a museum of coastal desert. Every visitor can see the desert on the top but non of them
can go on it. It is an artificial land for the nature not for human.
